Fibreglass batt

Fibreglass is fibre mostly composed of glass that can be applied in a wide variety of places. It traps pockets of air keeping rooms warm in the winter and cool in the summer and increases energy efficiency. This blanket form insulation is either stapled into place or placed within cavity walls. The next step would be to install a 6-mil vapour barrier directly touching the fibreglass batt. There should not be any space between the fibreglass-batt and the vapour barrier as it will accumulate moisture due to a difference in temperature and cause mold growth in the future. Fibreglass insulation does not absorb moisture, won’t settle overtime and is noncorrosive; All the things to keep in mind when insulating your home or commercial property.

Mineral wool insulation

Mineral wool insulation is a non-combustible stone wool insulation that does not promote smoke or spread flames. It is water and moisture resistant, does not rot or allow growth of bacteria. This blanket type of insulation can be installed and exterior walls, concrete floor slab, ceiling slabs in between firewalls.
